  1. I don’t know if I would say faster, more reliable internet. On par, sure. I’ve been using them for a couple years and then benefit I’ve seen is the router level parental filtering. My kids are now less likely to stumble on the bad stuff. I’ve recommended it to many parents.

    • I think you’re right about the speed, Greg. I did some testing after posting the link. By running $ time nslookup example.com for both opendsn and my isp interposed by flushing the local DNS cache on my local system I saw a slight speed advantage for my isp, .046s vs .057s. But after watching the first 4 episodes of the best hacker-drama ever, Mr. Robot, I’m okay with a little latency if opendns.com’s security is as good as they claim.
